FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is a video brief?
It is the document that explains what the video needs to do: goal, audience, message, format, references and deadline. With it, the production company builds the script and proposal without guessing.
What must a video brief include?
Goal, audience, key message, scope (how many videos, length and formats), references and deadline. These are the questions in this tool.
How do I write the goal of the video?
Say what should happen after someone watches it: understand a product, sign up for a course, trust the company. One goal per video works best.
Do I need to know the length beforehand?
It helps. Ads usually run 15 to 30 seconds, corporate videos 1 to 3 minutes and video lessons 5 to 15. If the script already exists, the voice-over calculator shows the time.
What references should I send?
Links to videos you like, from your brand or others, and what you like in each: the pace, the lighting, the animation, the tone. Two or three are enough.
Is what I write saved?
It is saved only in this browser, so you do not lose your draft. Nothing is sent until you click send.
How do I download the brief as a PDF?
Click Download PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print window. You can also copy the text and paste it into an email.
What happens if I send it to Silvertake?
The brief reaches our contact form and we reply with questions or a proposal. See also how to write a video brief.
