How do I use the online teleprompter?
Paste your script, choose the pace and font size and click Start teleprompter. The screen goes full screen, counts down 3 seconds and the text starts scrolling. Space pauses, the arrow keys change the speed and Esc exits.
Is the online teleprompter free?
Yes, with no sign-up and nothing to install. Your text stays in your browser and is not sent anywhere.
What is the right speed to read on a teleprompter?
For most videos, the medium pace of 150 words per minute. Testimonials and manifestos call for the slow pace; ads, the fast one. While reading, the + and − buttons adjust it on the fly.
What is the mirror option for?
For teleprompters with glass in front of the lens. The glass reflects the screen backwards, and mirroring puts the text the right way round for the reader.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Tap the text to pause or resume. With the device close to the lens, your eyes stay almost on the camera.
How do I avoid looking like I am reading?
Write the way you speak, rehearse twice and keep the text close to the lens, in a font size you can read without straining. See how to record with a teleprompter without a fixed stare.
How long will my video be?
The bar shows the reading time at the chosen pace. To compare the three paces, use the voice-over calculator.
How do I review the video after recording?
