OPTA Group, a global company focused on the steel industry, approached Silvertake Video with a highly specific communication challenge. They needed to explain how their furnace optimization and steel treatment technologies work to an international audience of engineers, operators, and plant managers.
The challenge lay in the technical complexity of the solutions. These were processes that occur inside electric arc furnaces (EAF) at extreme temperatures, impossible to capture with conventional cameras alone. We needed to make tangible how electrical inefficiency worsens when the furnace slag thins and loses foam height. Furthermore, it was necessary to demonstrate the negative impact of untreated inclusions in the steel, which can cause clogging of the injector nozzles and structural failures in the material.
The goal was to create commercial and educational materials, in English, that were technically accurate for a viewer who doesn't accept superficiality.
The Video Solution: Motion Graphics
To meet this demand, Silvertake produced explanatory videos in a hybrid format, blending motion graphics animations with real footage from the client's internal image bank. The pieces used male voice-over in English and a dynamic soundtrack to guide the technical narrative.
